What age do we recommend piercing?

We offer piercings for all ages. For children, we typically recommend either piercing infants 6 months and under or waiting until they’re old enough to help with cleaning and caring for the piercing. For infants, we generally recommend piercing at a younger age, as the earlier it’s done, the less likely they are to notice or touch their earrings.

We do provide a specific disclaimer for toddlers (ages 11 months to 3 years), as children in this age range are more active and aware. While we’ve successfully pierced many toddlers over the years, there are times we may need to decline the piercing if the child is resistant. Toddlers may pull at their earrings or refuse aftercare, so it really depends on the individual child. If you think they may not allow us to pierce, let you clean the piercings, or might try to remove the earrings themselves, we recommend waiting until they’re a little older.

Our goal is always to create a positive, stress-free experience. For children 11 months and older, if they resist or are unable to sit still willingly, we won’t proceed with the piercing, as we don’t allow restraint during the process. If earrings are pulled out, new earrings would need to be purchased to re-pierce.
